It’s Time to Celebrate – Join the Hamilton 4th of July Bike Parade!

The Village of Hamilton invites local residents and families to participate in the 2020 4th of July Bike Parade! The 1-mile, non-motorized, socially distant parade is open to walkers, bikes, scooters, skateboards, strollers, wagons, – even roller blades! Participation is open to children of all ages through Grade 12; a parent or responsible adult may accompany them.

Help us create a spirit of celebration by decorating your favorite ride with American flags and patriotic decorations, or proudly wearing Red, White & Blue. Prizes will be awarded for “Most Patriotic” outfit or bike decoration in seven age categories! All parade participants will receive free ice cream and a gift voucher for downtown treats.

The parade will begin and end at Hamilton Central School, and honor first responders and essential workers. Lineup begins at 10:30am, and social distancing rules will be enforced.

Since large crowds are still not allowed, the fun this year will be in participating. Residents along the route can enjoy the event from their lawns and porches, and are encouraged to decorate their lawns for the children to enjoy as they pass, but are asked not to host large parties or offer treats/candy to passing children. Please help the Village keep this event safe and fun for everyone!

While nothing can replace our traditional parade, the Village hopes this event will be a fun and memorable way for families and our community to safely celebrate together.

Pre-registration is required. You can find the form here.
