The Partnership for Community Development (PCD) is committed to promoting Hamilton’s recreational resources. By working alongside other organizations, individuals, and communities, the Partnership for Community Development has developed the Hamilton Community Recreation Initiative.
The goals of the Hamilton Community Recreation Initiative (HCRI) are three-fold; make physical improvements to our trail system, enhance accessibility and visibility of our resources through consistent signage, and develop a user-friendly website showcasing our local outdoor activities.
A public meeting will be held at the Hamilton library on Saturday April 9, 2016 from 10am-12pm. Community members are invited to attend to share experiences, ideas and hopes for recreation in our area. Additionally, attendees will learn more about this community-wide initiative and project goals. One of the first objectives of the HCRI was completion of a study of the trail system by students from Cornell University’s Urban Planning department. Visual renderings of the trail design to-date will be available.
